Absolutely! You can avoid shipping costs by choosing local pickup when you checkout. We can accommodate farm pickup. We also have some set pickup options in both LaCrosse and Viroqua. You can request which of these options you prefer in the comments when you check out. We can be in touch via email when your order is ready to arrange pickup time and location.
Wholesale?
Yes, we do offer wholesale pricing on some of our products. Contact us for more information on this.
Custom Orders?
Yes, we do offer some custom orders. Please contact us to discuss this further. Because of the cure time for our soap, we do need ample notice in order to accommodate custom orders.
Lye in the Soap?
All true soap uses lye. Lye reacts with the oils in the soap. After the saponification process takes place that first 24-48 hours, however, there is no lye left in the soap any longer!
Benefits of Tallow?
Tallow is full of essential fatty acids and vitamins that nourish and moisturize the skin. It closely resembles the properties of the natural oils produced by human skin. Tallow makes up 75% of our face/body soap bars and makes a delightfully hard bar that won't melt away after just a few uses! Our tallow is all rendered here on the farm and is all obtained from local beef. We do choose to incorporate other oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, and castor oil for the properties they add to making a well-balanced bar of soap.
Do you use real Goat Milk?
Yes! Absolutely! Not only do we use real goat milk, but we use milk from our own dairy goats here on the farm. ALL of the liquid in ALL of our soaps is replaced with milk - NO added water. You won't find any powdered goat milk or small percentages of goat milk used here! You will be getting 100% Ridge and Valley Farms goat milk in every bar.
What are the benefits of Goat Milk?
- It is very moisturizing/nourishing to the skin! It is rich in fatty acids as well as important vitamins/minerals such as A, D, E, K, selenium, and potassium. It gently cleanses while also moisturizing and providing your skin with the nutrients it needs!
- It gently exfoliates with alpha hydroxy acids that remove dead skin cells and promote cell turnover.
- The lactic acid present in goat milk helps to soothe irritated skin and can reduce inflammation.
- Goat milk is rich in antioxidants which help to combat the natural aging process! Definitely a win in my opinion!
- Added bonuses are that it has a beautiful creamy smell -even in unscented bars. It has a wonderful smooth lather!
